Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of voltbrook.com. By visiting the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
These terms work alongside our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Affiliate Disclosure, and Cookie Policy. Together they form the full agreement between us.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this site. By using it you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are under 18, please do not use the site.
What this site is
Volt Brook publishes research based information, explainers, and product recommendations about off grid and backup electrical power systems. It is an information resource. It is not a retailer, an installer, a licensed electrical contractor, or a professional engineering service.
Electrical safety notice
Solar, battery, and inverter installations involve real hazards including fire, arc flash, chemical exposure, electric shock, and serious injury or death. Battery banks can deliver very high short circuit current even at low voltage.
Everything on this site is general information. It is not a substitute for a qualified electrician, the manufacturer’s own installation manual, or your local electrical code and permit requirements. You are responsible for the safety and legality of any work you carry out or commission.
Affiliate links and commercial relationships
This site contains affiliate links, principally through the Amazon Associates program. If you buy through one of them we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not change our recommendations. See the Affiliate Disclosure for the full statement.
Product information, prices, and availability
Specifications, prices, and availability change constantly and are controlled by manufacturers and retailers, not by us. Any figure on this site reflects our understanding at the time of writing and may be out of date by the time you read it. Always confirm current specifications and pricing on the retailer’s or manufacturer’s own page before you buy.
User content and comments
Where commenting is enabled, you may post comments. You are solely responsible for what you post, and by posting you confirm you have the right to do so.
You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, misleading, infringing, or spam. Do not post dangerous electrical instructions that contradict manufacturer documentation or applicable code. We may edit, refuse, or remove any comment at our discretion and without notice, and we are not obliged to monitor comments.
By posting, you grant Volt Brook a non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce, and adapt your submission in connection with the site. You keep ownership of your content.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, layout, design, graphics, and code, is owned by Volt Brook or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Permitted and prohibited uses are set out in our Terms of Use.
Third party links
We link to external sites we consider useful. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the site will be error free or that any information on it is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volt Brook and anyone associated with it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, equipment, or property, arising out of your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it. This includes damage arising from an installation, a purchase, or a decision informed by our content.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Volt Brook from any claim, loss, liability, or expense arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third party right.
Availability and changes to the site
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice. We may also update these terms. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the Last updated date will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Termination
We may restrict or terminate your access to the site at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.
