Terms of Use

What you may do with the content on this site, what you may not, and how to file a copyright complaint.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Scope

These Terms of Use govern how you may use the content and functionality of voltbrook.com. They sit alongside our Terms and Conditions, which govern the wider agreement between us. By using this site you accept both.

Ownership of content

All material on this site, including text, headings, layout, design system, illustrations, diagrams, charts, structure, and code, is owned by Volt Brook or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Product names, brand names, and logos referenced on this site belong to their respective owners. They are used for identification and editorial commentary only, and their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

What you may do

  • Read, browse, and use the site for your own personal, non commercial purposes.
  • Print or save a single copy of a page for your own reference while you work.
  • Quote a short extract for review, comment, criticism, or news reporting, with clear attribution to Volt Brook and a link to the original page.
  • Share a link to any page on this site anywhere you like. Links are always welcome.

What you may not do

  • Reproduce or republish content without written permission. This includes copying pages or substantial parts of them onto another site, a newsletter, a forum post, a PDF, a video script, or a social account.
  • Use content commercially. No resale, redistribution, or inclusion in a commercial product or service without written permission.
  • Scrape or access the site by automated means. No bots, crawlers, spiders, or scripts that harvest content, and no bulk downloading, except for well behaved search engine crawlers that respect our robots directives.
  • Use our content to train machine learning or generative models without written permission.
  • Create derivative works such as translations, rewrites, spun versions, or adaptations of our material without written permission.
  • Frame, mirror, or embed the site or its pages inside another site in a way that implies the content is yours.
  • Remove or obscure copyright notices, attributions, or affiliate disclosures.
  • Interfere with the site. No attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site, breach security or authentication, introduce malicious code, or overload the infrastructure.
  • Misrepresent your relationship with us. Do not claim endorsement, partnership, or authorship you do not have.

Requesting permission

Permission requests, syndication enquiries, and licensing questions go to hello@voltbrook.com. Tell us what you want to use, where it will appear, and for how long. Reasonable requests are often granted.

Your submissions

If you send us a comment, a correction, a suggestion, or any other material, you grant Volt Brook a non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and publish it in connection with the site. You keep ownership of what you send. Please do not send confidential material or anything you do not have the right to share.

Copyright complaints and DMCA

We respect the intellectual property of others and we expect the same. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@voltbrook.com containing the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it, including the page URL.
  • Your contact details, including address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

We investigate valid notices promptly and will remove or disable access to material that is found to be infringing. If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter notice to the same address with the equivalent information. Please note that knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice can expose you to liability for damages.

Enforcement

We may block access, issue takedown requests, or take legal action against anyone who breaches these terms. We may also restrict or terminate access to the site at any time, without notice, where we reasonably believe a breach has occurred.

Changes

We may revise these Terms of Use. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here, and the Last updated date at the top of the page will change.
